WITH THE BLESSINGS OF GURU RAGHAVENDRA

AND

SWAMIJIS OF MANTRALAYAM

under the auspicious guidance of

Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha, Mantralayam

A PUBLIC APPEAL TO GURU RAGHAVENDRA DEVOTEES WORLDWIDE

With the blessings of Guru Raghavendra, 1008 Sri H. H. Sri Sushameendra Theertha Swamiji and 1008 Sri H. H.  Suvidyendra Theertha Swamiji of Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha (www.srsmutt.org), Mantralaya: As you are all aware, Sri Raghavendra Swamy is a saint who comes to the rescue of his devotees, through his boundless grace and showers blessings on the needy. There are countless tales of his miracles where he has shown us his guidance. These instances are already cataloged in numerous places.

We wish to unite with other devotees of Sri Raghavendra for:

Establishment of a Mrithika Brindavana in the East Coast of the United States

  • At present the location has been decided  as  outskirts of New York City (centrally close to Indian community)
  •  Priest nominated by Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha, Mantralaya  will perform the poojas to the Mrithika Brindavana.
  • The proposed Mrithika Brindavana will be maintained in accordance with the tradition followed in Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha Brindavanas in India.
  • In addition to being a place of worship, it will serve as a center for cultural and social activities for the devotees.
  • As per the current plan, there will be a prayer hall attached with the Brindavana. A priest, expected to be deputed from Mantralaya, will be accommodated in an adjacent house. Other requirements, as specified by the Raghavendra Swamy Matha, Mantralaya, will be met.
  •  It is  proposed that there will be a raised platform for the Brindavana to be based on. Around the raised platform, we will have a large hall, suitable for a gathering to witness abhisheka and other programs
  • With the grace of Rayaru, we are hoping that we will be able to complete the Brindavana project by the Aradhana day of 2008.

In pursuit of the above goals, we are in registering a nonprofit body with the aims stated above. Devotees of Sri Raghavendra who wish to participate in the attainment of  above goals are requested to get in touch with the webmaster. Please check our "F.A.Q" page for additional information on this project.

Although the grace of Guru Raghavendra has immensely enriched several individuals, we would like to include participation of every devotee. Needless to say, no contribution is too big or too small. If you wish to join us in these efforts, please join us through this website or email  us: webmaster@gururaghavendra.org.
